The Bombardier Challenger 650 is the widebody Challenger in service since 2015, with the Bombardier Vision flight deck, uprated CF34-3B engines from GE, seating for 10 and a 4,123 nm range according to our data sheet. The June 2026 snapshot holds one example, a 2018 aircraft with 1,510 hours whose price the broker shares on request; in Asia it appeals to owners flying India, Gulf and North Asia routes who value cabin width over ultra-long range.
With a single public listing, this page focuses on how to judge a 650, where it sits between the Challenger 605 and 350, and how we would bring one onto an Asian register.

Challenger 650 range and specs for Asian routes
Our data lists 4,123 nm of range, 459 kt cruise, 10 passengers and 1.85 m of cabin height. Read against still-air great-circle distances, with an allowance for winds, payload and reserves:
- New Delhi to London (Farnborough), 3,650 nm. Nonstop with about 11% in hand.
- Jakarta to Dubai, 3,550 nm. A realistic nonstop for an Indonesian owner heading to the Gulf.
- Seoul (Gimpo) to Dubai, 3,650 nm. Workable with normal reserves.
- Mumbai to Paris (Le Bourget), 3,780 nm. Within about 8% of range; winter winds and load decide it.
- Manila to Dubai, 3,730 nm. Nonstop in normal conditions, with a little under 10% spare, so strong winter headwinds need checking.
- Bali to Dubai, 4,050 nm. Close to the limit; plan a stop when headwinds are strong.
Challenger 650 for sale: the June 2026 listing
One aircraft was listed in the June 2026 data: a 2018 Challenger 650 in the United States with 1,510 hours and 772 landings, 10 seats and the widebody flagship cabin, price through the broker. That works out at about two hours per landing, which points to medium sectors rather than short hops. No engine programme is named, so that is the first question we would ask.
One public listing does not mean only one aircraft can be bought. If this tail has sold, we can search for other 650s, including ones that are not openly advertised.
Challenger 650 price: how we assess it
No price is published for the June aircraft, and we do not invent one. The factors we weigh on a 650:
- build year within the 2015-onward production;
- hours and landings compared with calendar age;
- engine and APU programme cover, or the cost of enrolling;
- time to the next major calendar inspection;
- cabin condition, layout and connectivity;
- avionics options fitted at delivery.
At eight years old, the 2018 aircraft is unlikely to have much factory warranty left, so programme cover carries more weight in its value. Ask us for the broker's figure and we will set it against the records before you commit to an inspection.
Challenger 650 vs 605 and the Challenger 350
The 650 is the latest version of the widebody 600 series. Compared with the Challenger 605, it adds the Bombardier Vision flight deck based on Pro Line 21 Advanced, a redesigned cabin and a CF34-3B takeoff rating with about 5% more thrust. The extra thrust shortens takeoff distance and helps at hot airports such as Delhi in summer or Jakarta at midday.
The Challenger 350 is a separate 300-series design: narrower, lighter and shorter-legged at 3,200 nm. The 650 fits better when a family wants a wider cabin and India-to-Europe or Indonesia-to-Gulf range.
Pre-owned Challenger 650 checklist
- Engine cover: GE OnPoint, JSSI or another hourly plan on the CF34-3B engines; the June listing names none.
- APU programme and its transfer terms.
- Inspection schedule for a 2018 build: which heavy calendar items fall due in the next two years, and whether the seller will complete them.
- Cycles: the 772 reported landings checked against gear and structural limits.
- Oceanic and European equipment: FANS 1/A+, CPDLC and ADS-B Out confirmed in the approvals.
- Connectivity: a US-delivered jet may need Ka-band or Starlink for use in Asia.
- Damage history and records since delivery, with repair documentation.
- Humidity: a corrosion baseline if the jet will be hangared in Delhi, Mumbai or Jakarta during the monsoon.
Registering a Challenger 650 in India, the UAE or Japan
Indian owners register on VT- through the DGCA, with IGST due on import; the rate and any relief should be checked with a tax adviser. See our New Delhi page for the local market.
Gulf-based owners typically use A6-, and Japanese owners JA. For aircraft that cross many jurisdictions, offshore marks such as San Marino (T7-) or Bermuda (VP-B) are common. Our desk verifies records, arranges the independent inspection and escrow closing, and organises delivery from the US. The ferry crosses the Pacific: from Anchorage, Tokyo is 3,010 nm and Seoul 3,280 nm, both well inside the range.

Can a Challenger 650 fly New Delhi to London nonstop?
Yes in most conditions. The distance is 3,650 nm against the 4,123 nm range on our data sheet, leaving a reasonable margin. Mumbai to London, at 3,910 nm, is tighter and depends on winter winds.
Is a Challenger 650 worth the step up from a 605?
It depends on the individual aircraft. The 650 brings the Vision flight deck, more takeoff thrust and a newer cabin, yet a well-kept 605 with programmes and upgrades can still be the better purchase. We compare specific tails on their records.
How many passengers does a Challenger 650 carry?
Ten in our data and in the June 2026 listing. The wide 600-series cabin gives more room per seat than the nine-seat Challenger 350.
Why is only one Challenger 650 listed?
The June 2026 snapshot captures what was publicly advertised at that time. Some owners sell without public advertising, so ask us and we will search beyond the listings.
