Delhi International Airport Limited, the GMR-led operator of Indira Gandhi International (IGI), opened India's first dedicated general aviation terminal on 18 September 2020 for private and charter flights. At launch two concessionaires, Bird ExecuJet and Indamer MJets, ran the handling, and the terminal later gained its own maintenance hangars. Private or NSOP: structuring the purchase
Delhi's corporate buyers face the same choice as Mumbai's, and it decides the tax bill. Personal-use aircraft now sit in India's top GST slab of 40%, while an aircraft imported under a DGCA non-scheduled operator permit is taxed far lower but must then be operated commercially, with the owner flying as a charter customer. The register is VT- either way. We settle the structure before an offer is signed, since changing it after import is costly.
