Our June 2026 snapshot lists 10 very light jets for sale over five types: the Citation Mustang, the Embraer Phenom 100 and 100EV, and the HondaJet HA-420 and Elite S. Four sellers publish a price, from $1,850,000 for a 2010 Mustang to $3,995,000 for a HondaJet Elite S. Unusually for this site, four of the ten sit closer to Asia than the US: Mustangs in Turkey and Australia, a Phenom 100 in India and a Phenom 100EV in the Philippines.

Owner-flown very light jets in Asia
All three families were certified for single-pilot operation, which is why owner-pilots buy them in the US and Europe. In Asia the path is harder. You need a licence recognised by the state of registry, a type rating for the jet, and an insurer willing to cover you, which usually means formal training and logged experience on type. Busy terminal areas such as Singapore and Hong Kong also demand confident radio work and slot planning. We would plan on a professional pilot flying alongside you at first. These jets suit sectors under about 900 nm: Singapore to Kuala Lumpur (180 nm), Bangkok to Phuket (370 nm), Hong Kong to Taipei (450 nm), Jakarta to Bali (510 nm) and Singapore to Bali (900 nm). Singapore to Hong Kong at 1,380 nm is beyond the Mustang, Phenom 100 and HA-420 and within 11% of the Elite S, so winds and load decide. The 2010 Citation Mustang in Turkey, listed at $1,850,000. Its Pratt & Whitney Canada PW615F engines and Garmin G1000 flight deck are well supported, but check engine programme status, time remaining to overhaul and ADS-B compliance before you compare it with a Phenom 100.
Which very light jet has the longest range?
In our data it is the HondaJet Elite S at 1,547 nm, against 1,223 nm for the original HA-420, 1,178 nm for the Phenom 100 and 100EV, and 1,150 nm for the Mustang. The Elite S also seats 5, one more than the Embraer and Cessna.
Are very light jets cheaper to run than light jets?
Usually per hour, yes: two small engines, lower weight and lower fuel burn. Per seat the gap narrows, because a light jet carries three or four more people. Programme enrolment and the cost of insuring an owner-pilot can close the difference further.
