Midsize Jets for Sale
13 midsize aircraft in our June 2026 market snapshot, disclosed asking prices from $4,395,000. Comfortable six-to-nine seat cabins for regional business travel across Southeast Asia.
Mid size jets for sale here are the four types the June 2026 snapshot files as midsize: the Cessna Citation XLS+ and Citation Latitude, the Embraer Legacy 500 and the Hawker 900XP, 13 aircraft in all. Published asks run from $4,395,000 for a Hawker 900XP to $14,995,000 for a Legacy 500, and 8 of the 13 are priced on request. Buyers in Asia use this class, often listed as medium jets for sale, for sectors of roughly 1,000 to 2,000 nm, such as Singapore to Hong Kong or Jakarta to Bangkok, where a super midsize would carry range they seldom use.

How much does a midsize jet cost?
Price here depends less on the badge than on year, total time and engine programme cover. The June 2026 listings show:
- Hawker 900XP: 3 aircraft, 2008-2012, $4,395,000 to $4,400,000 (2 priced)
- Citation XLS+: 4 aircraft, 2009-2018, $6,500,000 to $6,895,000 (2 priced), one of them based in the Philippines
- Legacy 500: 2 aircraft, 2016-2017, one ask of $14,995,000
- Citation Latitude: 4 aircraft, 2016-2025, every price on request
The top published ask is more than three times the lowest, so the category label says little about budget. A late Latitude with factory warranty will not trade near an older XLS+, and we treat 'on request' as a prompt to ask for the tail-specific figure, not as a hint of a bargain. Our price guide explains how valuers weigh these factors.
Cheapest midsize jet to operate
We do not quote hourly figures without your mission and crew plan, because the answer moves with how you fly. The drivers are consistent:
- Engines. All four types are twins. The XLS+ uses Pratt & Whitney Canada PW545 engines, the Hawker 900XP Honeywell TFE731s, the Latitude PW306Ds and the Legacy 500 Honeywell HTF7500Es.
- Programme enrolment. An engine on ESP or MSP costs more per hour but turns overhaul into a predictable charge and supports resale.
- Weight and fuel. The XLS+ is the lightest airframe here and sits at the low end of the fuel-burn scale; the Latitude and Legacy 500 burn more because they carry bigger cabins further.
- Age and inspections. The Hawker 900XP has been out of production for more than a decade, so calendar inspections, corrosion work and parts lead times weigh more.
On balance, a programme-enrolled XLS+ usually sits at the lowest running cost on short Asian sectors. The Hawker wins on purchase price, not on predictability.
Midsize vs super midsize for Asian routes
Great-circle distances make the choice clearer than brochures. Singapore to Hong Kong is 1,380 nm and Mumbai to Dubai 1,040 nm, and every listed midsize covers both with reserves. Singapore to Mumbai, 2,120 nm, is just past the XLS+'s 2,100 nm, so plan a stop there, while the Latitude (2,700 nm) does it. Singapore to Tokyo at 2,860 nm is beyond the Latitude, within 3% of the Hawker 900XP's 2,930 nm and inside the Legacy 500's 3,125 nm, where winter headwinds, payload and reserves decide. Singapore to Dubai, 3,160 nm, exceeds every midsize figure. That leg is where super midsize jets such as the Praetor 600 at 4,018 nm earn their premium.
Midsize Jets: buyer questions
Which midsize jet had the lowest asking price in June 2026?
A Hawker 900XP at $4,395,000, with a second example at $4,400,000. The low figure reflects age and running-cost risk, so budget for a thorough pre-purchase inspection and check engine programme status before comparing it with a younger XLS+.
Can a midsize jet fly Singapore to Tokyo nonstop?
Only the Legacy 500 has a published range clearly above the 2,860 nm great-circle distance, and at 3,125 nm the margin is thin enough that winter headwinds or a full cabin may force a stop. The Latitude and XLS+ would plan a fuel stop, for example in Taipei or Manila.
Is a midsize jet the same as a medium jet?
Yes. Brokers use midsize, mid size and medium jet for the class between light jets and super midsize. Definitions vary between listing sites; we group by the manufacturer's positioning and published range, which is why the Legacy 500 sits here and the Longitude one class up.
