The Dassault Falcon 900EX is a three-engine large-cabin jet with a 4,500 nm range and up to 12 seats, powered by Honeywell TFE731-60 engines and delivered from 1996. The single aircraft in our June 2026 snapshot, a 1999 example with 7,753 hours, asked $8,750,000, and the type appeals to owners in Hong Kong, Manila and Mumbai who want a trijet cabin for long overwater legs on a controlled budget.

This page covers the original 900EX with its Honeywell Primus 2000 flight deck. Later aircraft built with the Primus Epic-based EASy cockpit trade as a separate market; see Falcon 900EX EASy.

Falcon 900EX price: one listing, many variables

In June 2026 we recorded one 900EX: a 1999 aircraft in New Jersey with 7,753 hours, engines and APU on Honeywell MSP Gold and a cockpit the seller describes as Honeywell ELITE II, asking $8,750,000.

A single listing is a data point, not a market. On a trijet of this age we read price through maintenance position:

  • MSP status on all three TFE731-60s and the APU, and hours to each engine's next MPI and core zone inspection.
  • Where the airframe sits in its calendar inspection cycle, and what the last heavy check found.
  • Avionics work already done for current airspace mandates.
  • Cabin and paint age.

Two 900EXs of the same year can sit far apart once three engine events are priced in. We source comparable aircraft, including ones not publicly advertised, when you ask.

Falcon 900EX range and specs for Asian routes

Data sheet: 4,500 nm, 459 kt cruise, 12 seats, 1.88 m cabin height. Against still-air great-circle distances:

  • Hong Kong to Dubai, 3,200 nm: comfortable, with more than 1,000 nm spare on paper.
  • Singapore to Sydney, 3,400 nm: straightforward.
  • Tokyo (Haneda) to Honolulu, 3,340 nm: a Pacific leg well within reach.
  • New Delhi to Farnborough, 3,650 nm: fits, though a full cabin into headwinds eats the margin.
  • Mumbai to Farnborough, 3,910 nm: 87% of the figure; feasible in still air, but the winter jet stream can force a stop, so we check winds first.
  • Hong Kong to Anchorage, 4,410 nm: within 2% of range, so plan it with a stop in Tokyo.

Westbound legs from India to Europe are where the 900EX earns its keep. Hong Kong to North America needs a stop.

900EX, EASy, DX and LX: how the trijets differ

The Falcon 900 line began in the mid-1980s. The 900EX brought TFE731-60 engines, more fuel and a Primus 2000 glass cockpit. From 2003 Dassault fitted the EASy flight deck, creating the 900EX EASy. The 900DX kept the same engines with less fuel for shorter missions, and the Falcon 900LX added blended winglets for more range.

From the ramp a non-EASy EX and an EASy aircraft look identical, so read the cockpit line in the specification before comparing prices. The Elite II retrofit named on the June aircraft keeps the Primus 2000 architecture but can bring LCD displays, a newer FMS and mandate equipment; it still does not make an EX into an EASy aircraft.

Checklist for a pre-owned 900EX

Aircraft of this generation reward a thorough pre-purchase inspection. Our list:

  • Three engines, three programmes. Honeywell MSP on each TFE731-60 and on the APU, plus remaining hours to MPI and CZI.
  • Calendar check timing. Find when the next major calendar inspection falls; on an airframe of this age it is a significant event.
  • Mandate readiness. ADS-B Out, FANS 1/A+ with CPDLC for oceanic sectors, and Link 2000+ for Europe. An Elite II aircraft may already cover some of these, so confirm exactly which parts of the package were installed.
  • Corrosion. Lower fuselage, wheel wells, galley and lavatory areas, with a baseline inspection before basing in humid Hong Kong, Manila or Mumbai.
  • Records since delivery. Continuous logbooks and a full damage history.
  • Cabin systems. Age of the cabin management system and connectivity; many aircraft need a satellite upgrade for useful internet over Asia.

Falcon 900EX for sale to owners in Asia

Before buying an older trijet for Asia, check the destination register. Some registries and commercial operators apply age limits or extra checks to imported aircraft, which can matter for a late-1990s 900EX.

Hong Kong registration uses B-H, B-K or B-L marks, and a Philippine operator would look at RP-C, while Bermuda VP-B and Isle of Man M- remain popular offshore choices for privately flown trijets. Our Hong Kong page covers local basing. The June aircraft sat in New Jersey, so a delivery to Asia would be a multi-stop crossing that we schedule once the inspection is closed. Import tax treatment differs by country and ownership structure, so tax advice comes before the offer, not after.

Dassault Falcon 900EX: buyer FAQ

Is a Falcon 900EX the same as a 900EX EASy?

Same airframe and TFE731-60 engines, different cockpit. The original 900EX has a Honeywell Primus 2000 flight deck; the EASy version, built from 2003, has the Primus Epic-based EASy system and is newer, so it usually commands more. Both are often advertised simply as 900EX, so check the specification line.

Can a Falcon 900EX fly Hong Kong to Dubai nonstop?

Yes, with room to spare: 3,200 nm great-circle against a 4,500 nm data figure leaves space for winds, reserves and a reasonable load. A Hong Kong to Farnborough trip, 5,220 nm, is outside its reach without refuelling.

Can a late-1990s 900EX be registered in Asia?

Often yes, but it depends on the register and on whether the aircraft will fly commercially. Some Asian authorities and operators set age limits or ask for extra inspections on older imports. We check the target register's rules before you sign a letter of intent.

How many passengers does a Falcon 900EX seat?

Our data gives up to 12, matching the June 2026 aircraft. Layouts differ between tails, so compare floor plans: a cabin with a full-length divan in the rear zone makes the overnight westbound legs from India to Europe far more comfortable.
